Asshat: Ivan Seidenberg

Thank god I left Verizon after getting reamed for $1,300. If I hadn’t come to my senses sooner, I sure as hell would’ve dumped them after reading this classic case of The Dilbert Principle.

Seidenberg (Verizon’s CEO in case you didn’t read the story) thinks cheap Internet service is stupid and private companies like Verizon, which already run data networks, are much better positioned than government agencies to offer high-speed Internet service.

Wow.

Hey Ivan? Where are all those Verizon trucks pulling fiber into Elbert County? I must’ve missed ‘em.

Seidenberg also has the brass balls to bitch about his own customer’s “unrealistic” service expectations:

“Why in the world would you think your (cell) phone would work in your house?” he said. “The customer has come to expect so much. They want it to work in the elevator; they want it to work in the basement.”

Umm, Ivan… Do you ever watch your own commercials?
